Project Don Mills

Project: Don Mills – North York | High-Rise Balcony Restoration, Concrete Repair & Building Envelope Rehabilitation

Corcon Construction was awarded a large-scale high-rise concrete restoration and balcony rehabilitation project in North York (chatgpt://generic-entity?number=0), delivering a full upgrade to the building’s exterior envelope and structural balcony systems.

This multi-residential high-rise restoration involved the removal and reconstruction of deteriorated concrete balcony slab edges, along with comprehensive balcony concrete repairs throughout the entire building. Corcon addressed widespread deterioration, restoring structural integrity and extending the service life of all exterior slab systems.

A high-performance thin-system waterproofing membrane was installed across all balcony surfaces to protect against water infiltration, freeze-thaw damage, and long-term environmental exposure. Interior balcony soffits were refinished and painted, enhancing both durability and overall appearance.

Corcon also completed full building-wide caulking replacement around all windows and exterior joints, ensuring a fully sealed and watertight building envelope. Extensive concrete slab edge repairs supporting masonry assemblies were carried out across the entire structure, along with complete masonry brick replacement, restoring façade integrity and significantly improving the building’s visual appeal.

All work was executed using engineered swing stage access systems, with Corcon crews operating around the entire building at all elevations, maintaining strict safety standards, quality control, and scheduling on this large-scale occupied project.

This was a massive, multi-phase restoration project, requiring precise coordination, consistent execution, and high-level craftsmanship across all aspects of the building envelope.
