Project Wonderland

Project: Timberwolf Falls – Canada’s Wonderland | Concrete Waterproofing & Structural Restoration

Corcon Construction was awarded a large-scale, high-risk concrete restoration and waterproofing project at the iconic Timberwolf Falls ride, located within Canada’s Wonderland. This technically demanding project required advanced engineering coordination to resolve critical failures within a high-volume, water-retaining concrete system.

The structure was experiencing severe and continuous water loss, with thousands of gallons leaking daily through deteriorated concrete channels. Corcon was retained to deliver a complete structural rehabilitation and waterproofing solution, restoring the system to a fully watertight condition capable of withstanding constant hydrostatic pressure, dynamic water movement, and long-term operational demand.

Our scope involved full demolition and removal of all deteriorated and hollow concrete, followed by detailed crack injection, structural sealing, and reconstruction of compromised sections. Corcon installed new reinforced concrete retaining walls and utilized advanced shotcrete applications to rebuild critical water-containment structures, ensuring structural integrity under continuous load and exposure.

All surfaces underwent abrasive sandblasting to achieve optimal substrate preparation, followed by the installation of a specialized Crystline waterproofing system, engineered specifically for extreme water pressure, leak prevention, and long-term durability in aggressive environments.

This project required precise execution within a complex operating environment, combining structural concrete restoration, water-retaining system rehabilitation, and high-performance waterproofing technologies into a single integrated solution.

Completed successfully, this project reinforces Corcon’s position as a leader in complex waterproofing and structural concrete restoration across Ontario, delivering engineered solutions for high-demand, high-performance environments.
